PostgreSQL Freelance Projects

Projects include:

• Designing, implementing, and managing scalable PostgreSQL database solutions
• Performance tuning, optimization, and query analysis for high-performing systems
• Implementing and managing database backup, recovery, and failover strategies
• Migrating and upgrading PostgreSQL databases with minimal downtime
• Ensuring database security, compliance, and access control
• Creating automated solutions for database monitoring, maintenance, and deployment
• Collaborating with developers to design schemas and queries for optimal performance
• Troubleshooting and resolving database issues in production environments

Here’s what we’d expect you to bring to the table

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with PostgreSQL in production environments
• Expertise in PostgreSQL performance tuning and query optimization
• Strong knowledge of database design, normalization, and indexing strategies
• Proficient in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
• Hands-on experience with database replication, partitioning, and clustering
• Familiarity with cloud database solutions (e.g., Amazon RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL)
• Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., Python, Bash, or SQL)
• Understanding of database security best practices and compliance requirements
• Excellent collaboration, written communication, and time management skills
• Fluency in English, with additional language(s) a plus
